There are plenty of splendid walks near Yapham Holds Farmhouse, with country pubs, mystical woods and the epic Yorkshire Wolds Way.
We recently did the first two legs of the Yorkshire Wolds Way walking from Market Weighton to South Cave and then continuing to the Humber Bridge in Hessle the following day. Bewae High Tides and Muddy paths we found the route too muddy to walk along the Humber Estuary and used the alternative High Tide route.
Just a short drive away you can enjoy the Millington pastures and woods before a pint at the lovely country pub the Gait Inn. You can also pick up Yorkshire Wolds Way sign posts from Millington.
One of our favourite places to explore in autumn to spot a variety of mushrooms reminiscent of those in fairy tales. The Plough Inn is a handy stop for refreshments at the end of your walk or even mid-walk dependng on the route you choose.
A great walk to do when its icy! We did a section of the canal near the Melbourne Arms on a brisk winter day.
Enjoy the peaceful grounds of the Madhyamaka Kadampa Meditation Centre near Kilnwick Percy Golf Course.
